Under the auspices of the gd-Team also operates the basketball club Gabko Senec, which guarantees regular exercise and sport for children and youth. We have decided to support the club so that all the potential of young players can be developed. We believe that this support will help them achieve their goals and take the basketball club to the next level.
To build and continue to build a basketball club in a city with a non-basketball tradition is a small miracle that has been accomplished by the non-profit organization Gabko n.f. Since 2006, organized basketball in Senec has been established. Every year, the base of the basketball pyramid grows, and the quality of the training process in all age categories. This is how one could characterize the basketball club we have supported.
The basketball club is a pure youth club whose main goal is to create optimal conditions in the field of physical education, sport, and basketball for children and young people from 3 to 23 years of age. Currently, there are 132 registered members in the club, who are taken care of by 10 coaches in the training process.
The club has the following categories:
– Movement and fitness training for children from 3 to 6 years old
– Basketball clubs in primary schools for children from 6 to 10 years old
– Basketball preparation – for the age category from 10 to 12 years
Five categories are entered into competitions announced by the Slovak Basketball Association
– BK Gabko Senec – Younger mini pupils
– BK Gabko Senec – Older mini pupils
– Levy Senec – Older pupils
– Levy Senec – Older pupils
– Levy Senec – Cadets
The basketball club is a community made up of players, coaches, parents, and fans, which support each other, cooperate and meet not only at games but also at club-wide activities such as rafting down the Little Danube, training camps, and the Christmas Choromore. In this way, the club strengthens relationships, and bonds and creates a positive attitude towards sport, basketball, and the club.
