Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), also known as corporate social impact, is one of the important concepts of regional development and has a positive impact on both society and the environment. Also during 2023, GD-TEAM was particularly engaged in activities aimed at supporting employee projects and projects in the territory of the West Slovak region, preferably Pezinok and its surroundings. As a result, GD-TEAM donated more money to “good projects”. A significant part of the funds was directed to the development of sports activities of young talents, but support was also targeted at culture, history and education of children with special needs. The Krtko Education Centre, which operates in Trenčín, is an important link in the social education system for children and adults who require special approaches, methods and aids. Many times it replaces the imperfect system of care for mentally disadvantaged individuals and provides comprehensive care for clients. In the same way, sport, which is an irreplaceable part of the proper development of children and youth, is one of GD-TEAM’s CSR priorities. Among the long-term projects we can mention the School Basketball League, the Police Sports Swimming Club Pezinok, the Pezinok runners, the Pezinok volleyball players, or the international Visegrad Bicycle Race in Nová Baňa.
Among the projects submitted by individual colleagues, we should mention, for example, the support of volleyball, handball, football, gymnastics and equestrian talents of Slovakia. Culture also plays a significant role in social events. Support has been given to projects in various fields, such as the civic association Castrum Sancti Georgii, which is saving the Biely Kameň Castle, the Ursus historical fencing group, the Čučoriedka dance ensemble, two book collections, but also, for example, a civic initiative in Grinava, and the Ice Bears, which promote healthy lifestyles. However, the most important component of active CSR is a fair relationship with the business environment and a fair approach to the services provided and their prices. This is evidenced by satisfied long-term clients not only from Slovakia, but mainly from abroad. Based on previous activities, achieving a balance with nature, employees and the business environment will be a priority for our company in the future as well.
