Employee education – priority or pastime activity?

Continuous education and the development of expertise is key for our company. In the gd-Team, up to 90% of projects concern the SAP area, therefore our consultants complete several official training courses every year, which are implemented through the SAP Learning Hub.

Another form of education is internal training conducted by internal colleagues. Teamwork and know-how sharing are important for the gd-team. Conferences are also a popular form – our employees have a free hand; they can attend conferences of their choice every year. One of the favourites is e.g. the TechED conference held last year in Barcelona.

In addition to SAP, employees also improve their language skills in cooperation with a German teacher. We are considering introducing German courses via Skype so that colleagues working remotely can also use this training option. Our managers are involved in an authentic leadership programme – an approximately 10-month HR leadership transformation programme, which aims to lead managers to authentic leadership through the integration of all aspects of life – both professional and personal. After completing this programme, as part of our corporate benefits, we plan to have a corporate coach – a specialist in communication, stress management and overall personal development of employees.

New ideas and suggestions for forms of education by employees are still welcome, we are always willing to support them.
