Vaulting in Voltiland

A civic association focused on the development of equestrian sports, support for active leisure time for the young and old was founded by our colleague Slávka with her husband, a multiple champion of the Slovak Republic in equestrian vaulting. They work together as certified coaches.

Four-legged partners, horses Teamo, Lucky Star and mare Evelin, are an integral part of their team. The Voltiland civic association focuses on the development of equestrian sports, providing recreational riding, while educating active athletes – vaulting riders, who also participate in various races throughout the Slovak Republic. Possible sponsorship will help finance activities such as training camps and participation in competitions with little athletes.

Last year, they also managed to implement the project “On horseback – playfully and healthy”, in which 20 children of the clients of a crisis centre in Košická Nová Ves completed a half-year vault training course for vaulting on horseback. The project became the winner of the competition of the Fair Play Club of the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee “Sport Is a Chance.” They are committed to continue such activities this year as well. Current circumstances have meant that the conditions for training have become considerably complicated for them, so they are now working hard on creating their own training space, where they will have a background and be able to commit themselves fully to work with children.
